Avalanche Training Open to the Public: January 5, 2011, Snow King Mountain

Throughout the winter Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) conducts avalanche training drills for our team on Snow King Mountain. We’d like to invite the public to join us for the first training of the season to be held on January 5, 2011.  This is a FREE opportunity for residents to practice with their transceivers.

Training will begin at 5:30pm at the base of Snow King Mountain.  Please bring AVY gear (including beacon, shovel and probe).   We advise you to dress warmly and come prepared.  The first portion of training will occur at the base of the mountain so no pass will be required.  To participate in the second half of training you will need to purchase a lift ticket from Snow King Resort.
