One year ago the TCSAR and Wyoming K9 SAR family lost our friend and mentor Ray Shriver in a helicopter crash that claimed his life. Ray was a father, partner, teacher and friend. In Ray’s years of service as a member of Search and Rescue he participated in well over 900 missions and saved countless lives in the process. Please join us in commemorating the anniversary of Ray’s death by remembering his life.
Night Search
TCSAR spent another late night out searching for and finding two lost snowmobilers in the Gros Ventre Mountains. The party of two, which was riding one rented snowmobile became stuck and then hiked to some remote cabins in the Fish Creek area. They were found by search teams around 11:15 pm. When venturing out in the Winter remember to always be prepared for the unexpected night out. Carry at least food, water, clothing, headlamp and a fire starter.
Where were you Friday night? TCSAR spends Friday night up Ditch Creek
The Teton County Search and Rescue team spent Friday night searching for and retrieving a snowmobiler. The initial call came in at 8:30pm with the team being paged at 10:30pm for snowmobilers and skiers to search and retrieve the snowmobiler. The team headed up Ditch Creek around 11:20am and returned with the snowmobiler at 4:30am. Everyone was safe and the rescued was grateful for the service. Makes you ask.. how did you start your weekend?
