TCSAR Welcomes The Rescue World

Oct 7-12, 2025 | Jackson, Wyoming

Teton County Search & Rescue is proud to host of the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR) in October 2025. It will be just the second time in 77 years that this annual Congress—the world’s premier gathering for mountain rescue—will be held in the U.S. With more than 500 alpine rescuers from 30 countries planning to attend, this will be the biggest international event in Jackson’s history.

ICAR serves as a pivotal gathering for experts and stakeholders in the field of mountain rescue. Our team of almost 40 TCSAR volunteers have volunteered their time yet again to bring this extensive six-day event to life. From October 7-12, international, regional, and local participants will engage in hands-on rescue training, seminars, networking opportunities, and cultural events that encourage connection to other industry professionals and to our unique home here in the West.

On Friday, October 10, we are excited to welcome the community to be part of ICAR for a celebration of the roots and culture that make Jackson so special.

We are excited to extend an invite to YOU—our neighbors, supporters, and most valuable backcountry safety advocates—to join us for this FREE evening celebrating food, art, Western heritage, and mountain rescue.
